What attracted you to Joules and why did you choose to work for us?
I believed Joules was a small brand and would be a good way for me to get some knowledge and experience in the fashion industry. I didn’t realise how big a brand Joules actually was until I had spent some more time with the company and getting to really know the brand from the inside.
Tell us about a typical day…
Start the day reviewing email comms to see if there is anything I need to do or be aware of. Look over my “to do” list for the week and prioritise what I need to do for the day and start. This can be from ensuring our stock arrives into the business when it’s supposed to, to reviewing previous/current sales to plan for future season’s ranges.
What's the best thing about working at Joules?
For me personally, it’s knowing that I am making a difference within a business.
What’s been your biggest achievement so far?
Planning the SS15 Baby range from start to finish, and seeing it in stores and selling.
What qualities make someone successful at Joules?
Driven, calm and a little bit out of the box.
What do you think makes Joules unique as an employer?
As cheesy as it sounds, it’s the family environment. The team I work with is a close bunch who I wouldn’t change. But even from the top level of the business, you’re still treated just the same, people care if there is something wrong and will share in your personal successes.
What would your advice be to someone considering joining Joules?
Be sure in what you want to do and commit to the decisions you make.
