What attracted you to Joules and why did you choose to work for us?
Before joining, I worked in a career which was the absolute polar opposite of what Joules is. Vibrant, passionate and professional, Joules was the perfect opportunity for me - I came out of my interview in love with the brand, the people and the ethos. I wanted nothing more desperately than to work at Joules!
Tell us about a typical day…
I work primarily on retail graphics. If a store is launching, a show is starting or a window is changing, my mailbox pings and I am on the case! Day in day out, I’m also pulled into packaging, illustration and branding projects - there’s rarely a day I’m not a busy bee!
What's the best thing about working at Joules?
It’s cheesy, but it is the people of Joules. Slightly mad, constantly entertaining - I’ve never been in an environment where so many good people go to work.
What’s been your biggest achievement so far?
A toss up between rolling out a successful gift card range now used in all our stores and sold online, or having my illustrated dog popped lovingly on plates and cups!
What qualities make someone successful at Joules?
Hard working, compassionate and a love of cake (or pork pies - we don’t discriminate).
What do you think makes Joules unique as an employer?
Away from the hubbub of London, Joules is unique in building a professional and talented team plucked straight from the countryside - it keeps an authenticity to the work we do.
What would your advice be to someone considering joining Joules?
Impress through both your personality and your skill - always do your homework!
