What attracted you to Joules and why did you choose to work for us?
Joules is a fun and exciting company and I really wanted to work within that environment. It was also an opportunity to progress within a company that was rapidly expanding and still is.
Tell us about a typical day…
My typical day would start with banking and figures, also checking emails for company communications and activity. I would then set the days objectives from delivery to floor moves. The most important thing is ensuring the team are set up to deliver a fantastic shopping experience for our customers.
What's the best thing about working at Joules?
Joules is a smaller company than I have previously worked for so you really feel part of a close knit team. I love being able to offer a more personal service to our customers and really meet their needs. I find it really rewarding.
What’s been your biggest achievement so far?
The Taunton store has only been open since mid-July but the sales have been fantastic. The team have all been new to Joules but have really delivered fantastic service and really taken on the Joules way of working. I also had a great opportunity to help with the set-up of the new Exeter store. I got to learn lots of new ideas and meet a lot of other members of staff across the company who are always happy to help.
What qualities make someone successful at Joules?
A great team player that has lots of enthusiasm and passion for retail. Also, someone who takes pride in every aspect of their job.
What do you think makes Joules unique as an employer?
Joules as a brand is very different from any one else on the high street. From its great designed and quality clothes, to its amazing looking stores. You are seen as a person rather as a number and you do get the recognition for great work.
What would your advice be to someone considering joining Joules?
You will really enjoy the fun and friendly working environment. You get a fantastic uniform allowance as well as a great staff discount.
